Sensitization Program on Revised RNTCP Guidelines’

At A-V Hall, Central Library, Navodaya Medical College
for Medical Interns and Post Graduates of Navodaya Medical College, Raichur
The Senstization Program on Revised RNTCP Guidelines was organised by RNTCP Core Committee, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur in collaboration with Dist. Tuberculosis Office, Health & Family Welfare Dept. Govt. of Karnataka.
The resource persons conributed for sensitization program were; Dr. Bheemayya B, Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine and RNTCP Nodal Officer, Dr. Anandkumar H, Assoc. Professor of Microbiology, Dr. Manjunath, Asst.Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Dr. Surendra Babu, District Tuberculosis Officer, Health and Family Welfare department, Govt. of Karnataka.
The topics included in the sensitization program were – Introduction and Epidemiology of TB, TB infection and Disease, Contact Finding, Screening and prophylaxis, TB case finding and Laboratory diagnosis, Daily Regimen and its implementation and MDR TB and its management.
A total of 96 deligates were sensitized on revised RNTCP Guidelines, of which 39 were medical interns and 57 were medical post graduates of Navodaya Medical College.
