Live Surgical Workshop
Department of Orthopaedics, Navodaya Medical College organized “Knee Arthroscopy 2018” on 2nd September 2018, with the unstinted support and encouragement from the Honourable Chairman of NET, Shri S. R. Reddy, as part of Silver Jubilee celebration Year.
The scientific sessions began at 9am which contained Didactic lectures, Interactive sessions at Dr.S.R.Hegde Silver Jubilee Auditorium.
The inaugural function was presided by Dr.T.Srinivas, The Registrar, NET. The Chief guest for the event was Dr. Purushotham V J, President, Karnataka Orthopaedic Association. Dr.R.H.Taklikar, Prof & Head Dept of Physiology and incharge Principal, NMC and Brigadier Dr.Ashok Mahendrakar, Medical Superintendent, NMCH&RC were the guests of honour. Dr.R.H. Chavadaki, KMC observer, former Prof & Head, Dept of Orthopaedics NMC and Dr. Arun K.N Organizing Chairman, Prof and Head, Department of orthopaedics,NMC, were other dignitaries on the dais.
Dr.Arun K.N welcomed the gathering. Dr.Purushotham V J, addressed the gathering and Dr.T.Srinivas delivered the presidential address, followed by felicitation of Chief Guest and KMC observer. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Ramchandra.K ,Organizing secretary and Asso. Prof of Department of Orthopaedics, NMC.
The scientific event covered various topics on knee arthroscopy by distinguished speakers Dr.Kamreddy S B, President elect 2019,KOA. Dr.Sridhar Reddy, Prof NMC, Raichur, Dr.Ashwini Kumar Singh, Professor & Head ,Department of Orthopaedics,VIMS, Bellary, Dr.Mukesh Kudapali, Bellari , Dr.Girsh Vasanad, Asso Prof. SNMC, Bagalkot, Dr.Pereddy Somashekara Reddy, Professor & Consultant, Apollo Health City, Hyderabad, Dr.Prashanth Patil, Consultant Orthopaedician, Gulbarga, Dr Sandeep Ireshanavar, Assit Prof, KIMS, Hubli, Dr.Naveen Kumar N, Assit. Prof. ESICMC, Bengaluru, Dr.Vinay Kumaraswamy, Asst.Prof .BMCRI, Bengaluru, Dr.Alok Patil, Gulburga, Dr.Sandeep Kanakaraddi, Consultant, Venkatesh Hospital Mahalingapur, Bagalkot, Dr.Jagdish Surannavar, Asst Prof KLE Malaysian Medical College, Belagavi, Dr.Mallikarjun D, Dr.Anirudh Kulkarni and Dr.Naveen Kumar S, NMC, Raichur.
Live Surgical Demonstration was performed by Dr.Mukesh Kudapalli along with Dr.Naveen Kumar S and anaesthesiologists , Dr.Vishwanath methi and Dr.Sridhar Ekbote.
A total of 140 delegates participated including consultants and post graduates.
The scientific event concluded with valedictory function at 5.30pm.
KMC accreditation committee had awarded 2 credit hours to all delegates and 3 credit hours to faculty members.
The conduction of the entire event and the infrastructure was highly appreciated by the delegates and faculty members
