We are pleased to present a comprehensive report on the Academic activity - guest lecture organized by Department of orthopaedics Navodaya Medical College Raichur onthe topic of "Orthopaedic Oncology." The Heads of Para-clinical, clinical departments & faculty members, Postgraduate students and Interns from the various branches participated. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about Bone Tumours and discuss the possibilities of Early Diagnosis and Management. After welcoming all the dignitaries with floral bouquet, programme was inaugurated by
lighting the lamp.
GUEST SPEAKER & CHIEF GUEST:
Dr Anirudh C K, Associate professor, Department of Orthopaedics introduced the guest speaker Dr.Rohit Rajalbandi, a distinguished expert in the field of Orthopaedic Oncology. Dr. Rohit holds impressive qualifications, with an MBBS from Mysore Medical college,MS in orthopaedics at Vijayanagar institute of medical sciences in Bellary ,Registrar in CMC vellore ,Senior Resident in JIPMER in Pondicherry .Dr Rohit pursued an HBNI fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology at the Prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai,He also holds MRCS (England ).Currently Dr.Rohit is working as a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Oncology in Mani pal Hospital ,Old airport road, Bangalore. Dr. Rohit's profound knowledge and extensive experience made him an ideal speaker for the event. Dr. Rohit delivered an insightful and thought-provoking Multidisciplinary lecture on the topic of Management of Bone Metastasis. His lecture was backed by the most up-to-date research and case studies, enlightened about the various Treatment options making it highly Interactive Session: Following the lecture, an interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarification on various aspects of Bone tumours. This session facilitated a lively and engaging discussion, further enriching the learning experience.
GUEST OF HONOUR:
Dr. T. Srinivas, the Registrar of NET, Raichur, was the Guest of Honour. His presence
added prestige to the lecture and reflected the importance of addressing Bone tumours.

The event was presided over by Dr. 8. Devanand, the Dean/Principal of NMCH&RC, Raichur. As a respected figure ln the academic and medical community, his presence as the presiding authority provided a strong foundation for the lecture.

Dr. Arun K. N, the Medical Superintendent of NMCH&RC, graced the event with his
presence, highlighting the institutional importance and support for the subject matter. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr.Arun K N Medical Superintendent& HOD, Department of Orthopaedics of NMCH&RC. The event was a resounding success, achieving its objective of Gaining Knowledge about Bone Tumours and Multidisciplinary Approach For the same. It provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns, enhancing the learning experience and professional development.
Special Interactive session during afternoon: The speaker spent his valuable time in interacting with postgraduates. This interactionshed light on the complex clinical situations that postgraduates often encounter when dealing with patients suffering from Bone Tumours. Dr. Roh it's insights and guidance provided much-needed clarity and guidance to the Postgraduates.Herewith I am enclosing few photographs taken during guest lecture programme.
