This program is intended for MBBS students & interns. Medical Post Graduates, Nursing staff and students. Paramedical & others health care provides who may need to respond to medical and surgical emergencies in a hospital or a non=hospital setting. It is concerned with the primary care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention for unscheduled and undifferentiated patients of all ages the course builds on the foundation of life saving BLS skills with simplified and standardized approach to the patient. It is designed to be a distillation of emergency care knowledge and skills to Recognize & manage an emergency until termination of riru citation or safe transfer of patient to higher level of care in an interactive format with hands on skills sessions in a simulated emergency setting.
HOW COURSE IS CONDUCTED?
Course is taught as a 2day work shop with a combination of lecture and practical skill session.
Micro teaching the course is designed to ensure that the ratio of faculty: student is 1:5
(i.e., 2 faculties for 10 students is each batch)
Day 1: * Airway to illustrate how to protect and secure airway with available airway instruments
- CPE (AHA 2015 guidelines) Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care including prioritizing chest compression and integrating use of an AED.
Day 2: * Trauma Care- teaching medical care content is Assessing, Resuscitating & statilizig the patient is a simulated trauma setting.
- Evaluation – each student will be evaluated in the end of the course.
