CME & Workshop on “Insight into Hemolytic & Coagulation Disorders –
With the unstinted support and encouragement from the Honorable Chairman, Navodaya Education Trust (NET), Shri. S. R. Reddy Sir, as a part of Silver Jubilee celebration year, a CME & Workshop on “Insight into Hemolytic and Coagulation disorders” was organized on 14th July 2018 by the Department of Pathology, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur at Dr. S. R. Hegde Silver Jubilee Auditorium. The scientific sessions began at 9:00 AM and the inaugural function was held at 11:00 AM.
The inaugural function was presided by Dr. B. Vijayachandra, Principal Navodaya Medical College. The chief guest for the event was Dr Gayathri K., Consultant Hematopathologist at Tapadia Lifeline Biosciences Ltd, Hyderabad. Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, N.E.T. and Brigadier Dr. Ashok . Mahendrakar, Medical Superintendent, NMCH&RC, Raichur, were the Guests of honour. Dr. Anand A.S. Program Director, Professor and H.O.D. Dept of Pathology, NMC Raichur and Dr. Gireesh Achalkar, KMC Observer were among the other dignitaries on the dias.
Dr. Anand A.S. Program Director welcomed the gathering, Dr Trupti Katti, Organising Secretary and Professor of Pathology, introduced the chief guest, Dr Kajal Punyashetty, Joint Organizing Secretary and Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, proposed the vote of thanks.
The scientific event was quite successful by the orations given by two eminent Resource persons with versatile experience in the field of Hematology – Dr Gayathri K., Consultant Hematopathologist at Tapadia Lifeline Biosciences Ltd, Hyderabad, Dr. Shantveer G. Uppin, Professor Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. The scientific sessions other than the orations, also included video demonstrations and case discussions. A total number of 234 delegates from various medical colleges, and hospitals from 3 different states (Karnataka, Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh) attended this CME and Workshop and were enlightened by the interactive Scientific sessions. Postgraduate students, consultants and others were thoroughly educated about the basic concepts and recent advances on Hemolytic anemias and Coagulation disorders. The scientific event concluded with valedictory function at 5:30 PM, chaired by Dr. B. Vijayachandra, Principal, NMC, Dr Bheemayya Badesab, Vice Principal, NMC and the Resource persons. Vote of thanks was proposed by Program Director, Dr A. S. Anand.
The conduction of the entire event was highly appreciated by the assembled delegates and special invitees.
Having conducted “CME & Workshop on Insight into Hemolytic and Coagulation Disorders”, Karnataka Medical Council, Bengaluru has provided an accreditation of “2 credit hours” to all the registered delegates and “5 credit hours” to the Resource persons.
