The inauguration function of the 21st batch of MBBS students at the Campus of Possibilities NAVODAYA MEDICAL COLLEGE RAICHUR was held on 29th Sept 2023. The chief guest of the event was Dr Hanumanth Prasad, Director, Yadgiri Institute of Medical sciences Yadgiri. The function was presided over by Dr. B Devanand, Dean, Navodaya Medical College. The dignitaries on the dais included Guests of Honor Dr. T Srinivas, Registrar NET, Dr. P Vijay Kumar, Director IPSA, Dr. A S Aanand,Vice Principal, NMC.

The function began by invoking blessings of Godess Saraswathi. The welcome address was given by Dr. Venkatesh M Patil,  Dr Anand Kumar H introduced the chief guest.

Dignitaries Inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Dr. A S Aanand briefed about MBBS course curriculum and Dr Bande Nawaz conducted students pledge.

Dr Hanumanth Prasad, the chief guest, delivered the inaugural address. He appreciated the efforts and vision of Navodaya Education Trust for establishing a world-class medical college in Raichur. He also praised the faculty and staff of Navodaya Medical College for their dedication and excellence in teaching and research. He advised the students to be sincere, hardworking and compassionate in their studies and career. He also emphasized the importance of social service and rural health care in the current scenario.

Dr T Srinivas, in his address congratulated the new batch of students for securing admission in one of the most prestigious medical colleges in the state. He regarded the remarkable efforts of Hon’ble Chairman NET Sri S R Reddy, in upbringing the Institution. He also highlighted the achievements and facilities of the college  and urged the students to uphold the values and ethics of the medical profession.

Dr. B Devanand, gave the presidential address. He welcomed the new batch of students and their parents to the Navodaya family. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr Hanumanth Prasad for gracing the occasion and for his valuable guidance. He assured the students that they will receive the best quality education and training at ragging free campus, Navodaya Medical College. Students will have ample opportunities to excel in academics, sports and extracurricular activities. He also encouraged the students to participate in various social and cultural events organized by the college.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Harish BHat, who thanked all the guests, faculty, staff, students and parents for making the event a grand success. He also thanked the media for their coverage and support.

The function concluded with National Anthem.
