State Level RNTCP Quiz 2018—College Round
Navodaya Medical College
As part of World Tuberculosis day, Navodaya Medical College took part in the State level RNTCP Quiz 2018 which was carried out under the aegis of State Task Force Karnataka, Tuberculosis and was co-ordinated by Father Muller’s Medical College, Mangalore. The quiz was for undergraduate students and interns. About 961 teams (1922 students) from 37 medical colleges in Karnataka participated in the Quiz, which was simultaneously conducted from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm on 16th March 2018 in the respective colleges. College Round was organized at Navodaya Medical College, Raichur on 16-03-2018. It was conducted in Lecture Hall 4 from 2.00 to 3.00 pm. 26 teams attended the preliminary written round. Each team comprised of 2 students, hence 52 students wrote the preliminary written round of State level RNTCP Quiz. It was conducted under the aegis of District Tuberculosis Office, Raichur, Karnataka. The top three scoring teams of our college were Pallavi AG and Vaishnavi P Burli of 8th term at First position, G Shivani and Sri Vidhya of 6th term at Second position, Salma Begum and Nidhi Varma of 8th term at third position. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ayesha Nawaz, Associate Professor, under the guidance of Dr. Bheemayya B, professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine. Dr. Shwetha Rajeswari, Assistant Professor and Dr. Vandana, Postgraduate student also contributed in coordinating the programme.
